Wada Design is a Virtual Studio.  We are a network of seasoned professionals with three decades of successful working history, designing and manufacturing award winning products.  The network includes Industrial Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, UI/UX Designers, Graphic Designers, Prototype modelers, Design and Market Research, Branding, Packaging Design, Website Design, Strategic Design Business Planning and CMF (Color, Materials and Finishes) professionals.  Patent search and filing services are also available.  Our group has a vast array of experience in many different product categories.  

We have short run production capabilities, in-house 3D printing and CNC Milling machines as well as Cut and Sew sample development expertise.  We have US and overseas manufacturing relationships in both Hard and Soft products to help clients get their products manufactured.  We have long standing relationships with various Sales Representative Groups in the Consumer Electronics and Luggage product categories to mass merchant retailers around the Globe.

A key benefit for our clients is cost compared to larger firms.  Clients receive all the advantages of years of experience without the inflated rates to cover the elegant office space and SG&A overhead.  We work seamlessly online, videoconferencing via MSTeams/Zoom with members spread across the country as well as with overseas vendors on a daily basis.  The Global landscape for Design and Product Development has changed and we have been working successfully in this manner for years.

Stan Wada is the founder and over the last 30 years has been Manager of Industrial Design for Invetech, VP of Design for Forward Industries, Design Director for Targus, Product Design Director for Roundhouse Inc. and Senior Design/Project Manager at Hauser Inc. (formerly a top 10 – US design consulting firm) in addition to operating Wada Design successfully for the last 15 years.  He has traveled extensively overseas working directly with suppliers/manufacturers partnering with Product Management personnel in the Corporate environment.  He has valuable insight into the realities of margin requirements as it relates to Design and bringing products to market at targeted price points.  Partnering with Sales and Marketing teams, understanding their objectives and utilizing the power of Design to create presentations to buyers for both OEM (Dell, HP, Lenovo) and Global retailers (Target, Walmart) has resulted in many successful programs.  Successful products integrate all of these elements to find the best solution and we have a unique perspective having worked in the trenches of retail product development where cost is always a concern.
